In this course you will deliver in one of three modes: Predictive (waterfall, scope-first), Agile (iterative, value-first), or Hybrid (predictive backbone with agile delivery inside it). The wrong choice is the most expensive mistake in project management, so we use GenAI as a structured decision partner, not an oracle.

Why this matters

For Predictive work we anchor on a SCOR-style decomposition (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Return) to map a stable value chain. For Agile work we anchor on a SAFe PI (Program Increment) frame to map flowing value through iterations. A GenAI model can score your project against both lenses in minutes.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or Gemini.
  2. Describe your real project in 3-4 sentences: the deliverable, how fixed the scope is, how often requirements change, and your governance constraints (in MENA this often means FIDIC contracts, government tender rules, or a PMO mandate).
  3. Ask the model to score Predictive vs Agile vs Hybrid against named criteria.
  4. Force a recommendation and the strongest counter-argument, so you see the trade-off.

How to read the model’s answer

GenAI will almost always produce a confident table. Your job is to disbelieve it productively. Three checks save you from a bad call. First, does the recommendation actually follow from the scores, or did the model anchor on the word “agile” because it is fashionable? Second, is the counter-argument substantive or a token sentence? A real counter-argument names a specific failure mode — for example, “FIDIC milestone payments punish iterative delivery, so pure Agile will create invoicing disputes.” Third, does it account for your team’s maturity? A team that has never run a sprint will not become agile because a charter says so; Hybrid often wins precisely because it lets a predictive-trained team adopt agile habits gradually.

Common pitfall

Do not let the tool pick for you. The model is a sparring partner that widens your thinking, not a decision-maker that absolves you of judgement. The accountable choice — and the consequences — remain yours. This is the mindset for the entire course: GenAI drafts at speed, you decide with authority (بمسؤولية, responsibly).
